Lydia Fortin, ceramicist and cabinetmaker, born in Montreal in 1968

A ceramicist and cabinetmaker by training, I create pieces in clay or wood. I work with terra sigillata for its softness and the diverse colors it produces, always searching for a new shade. I also practice smoke firing, woodturning, and cabinetmaking. "I am passionate about the transformation of materials and the diversity of forms."
