Painter, collage artist, topographic map weaver and sashiko embroiderer.
Suzanne Martin, originally from Quebec, has traveled extensively and lived in Belgium for 27 years. She now lives in the Eastern Townships, deep in the forest. Nature and the Eastern Townships landscape influence her work.
For 10 years, she devoted herself to paper collage and the weaving of topographic maps. The themes of territory, her roots, and nature permeate her work.
Then she discovered Japanese embroidery (sashiko) during several stays in Japan.
