 Biography and approach

 Originally from Longueuil, Vicky Filiault is a self-taught artist. She has been living in the Eastern Townships for several years, in the forest of Saint-Étienne-de-Bolton.

 Dance, martial arts, tattooing, and herbalism have shaped her way of creating and seeing the world.

 She has been cultivating an artistic practice on a daily basis since she was 19. She expresses herself in a gentle spirit with coffee, which is an integral part of all her work. It is the link between the world of memories and the present moment.

 Approach

 A painter for 17 years now, Vicky draws her inspiration from her relationship with the world of dreams and her relationship with life and death. Her works are a tribute to the human experience. The themes explored follow the ebb and flow of energy that vacillates between seasons and emotions.

 It is with a palette of soft and raw colors that two worlds overlap. Her figurative and sometimes abstract paintings speak to the viewer in an authentic way and create a deep connection.

 Vicky Filiault's entire universe is based on coffee. Acrylic and pastel then bring her paintings to life. For the love of paper, the artist expresses herself with fine-tipped pencils and ink.
